“FANTASMAS 2007”: First Single!

After having two voting options at his official Myspace website as to which would be his first single release, “FANTASMAS 2007” rises now as Cesar Alejandro’s first single.

This track, from the album “IMPECABLE”, follows an on-line promotion strategy that has now become a distinct feature of this singer, since it will only be available on his Official Website and can be ordered at:

music@cesaralejandro.com

The original version of “FANTASMAS”, along with the demo version of “SOY”, are the two bonus tracks included in this CD single.

“IMPECABLE” will be out this 2008, so be ready because the best of it is still about to come.

Here’s a video of “FANTASMAS 2007”...enjoy!

WELCOME!

Hi! How are you?

hope you’ll enjoy this space, where I’ll try to be permanently in touch with all of you. Through this means, I’ll be constantly sharing my feelings and experiences as I embark on this new musical adventure called “IMPECABLE”.

To start this new blog, I would like to give you a little explanation, track by track, of my new album, which I have been able to create by working along with my talented friend and producer GOVY, and that has been mastered in Argentina by ANDRES MAYO MASTERING & DVD.

Here I go…

“IMPECABLE” TRACK BY TRACK

Conmigo (With me): a very personal track that turns out to be daringly sexual and desperately lonely at the same time. A clear image of my musical influences, worth listing at full volume on any car-stereo.

En ti (In you): this is the oldest track in the album, and it’s dedicated to “Ella”, as the chorus says (it’s no wonder it may sometimes be mistaken for “bella” (beautiful), because she is so). Even though time set us apart, I’ll always remember her as my very first contact with love.

Fantasmas 2007 (Ghosts 2007): lovers gone, friends, faces, bodies… everything that happens in our lives… situations, fantasies, etc. They’re ghosts that leave a mark on us and we can never escape from and, without our noticing, shape our future. In its 2007 version, this wonderful track will get your feet moving!

Siempre (Forever): a story that ends. A deep and hopeless pain seen from a positive perspective with the promise of a future together.

No puedo parar [de bailar] (I can’t stop myself [from dancing]): strong, with a lot of energy; dancing has always been one of my passions, so I asked Govy to do a funky track that would make me shake and that would evoke both the fever and the hotness of the dance floors.

Dame (Give me): even though it may seem like a plea for an intimate moment, the truth is that this track is the very voice of the album trying to reach out for your preference over ordinary “plastic music” that’s played on radio these days… “Mi foto quiere hablarte, no deja de mirarte” (“my picture wants to speak to you, it won’t stop looking at you”) is a reference to the cover of the album being displayed in music stores, waiting for you to take it home!

Es la soledad (It’s Loneliness): it was thoroughly written and recorded in just four hours, but in fact we were working on another song. Suddenly, we got this idea from a verse that was in the lyrics to the first song, which ended up being the main chorus… the rest was easy to finish, because it’s a reflection of the way I live a the moment: being a bad guy, but taking good care of myself.

Quiero (I want): nice lyrics, sweet melody, a subject different from what I’m used to expressing in my songs. I was shocked by its magic, which lies on the fact that no matter how dark our future may seem, there will always be some hope that can inspire us to change.

En mi corazón (In my heart): I think it’s the best stuff I’ve written: that feeling of impossible love was all over me at the moment and it just came out from my heart. It’s the song I’ve enjoyed recording the most, and I have no doubt it’s the one a lot of people will feel identified with.

Sintiendo desde el alma (Feeling from my soul): it’s lascivious and delicious at the same time… with an arrangement by Govy. My best friend insists the change in the musical atmosphere from quietness to stormy, reminds him of what Freddie Mercury gave us in the mythical “Bohemian Rhapsody”.

Excítame (Turn me on): the night, suggestive music and alcohol going up your head… what is stopping you from telling that person that you fancy them and you want to have it all with them?

Well, now you have a clearer idea of what these songs mean… I hope you liked them. See you soon.

Hugs,

CESAR ALEJANDRO
